Band Camp
Blackstone Valley Music’s popular Band Camp Program engages students at a variety of skill levels for a week of intense rehearsal culminating in an in-house concert. Facilitated by Mark Mandeville and James Briand, the band will choose songs, name their band, lead focused rehearsals, and consider important factors of live performance such as stage presence, improvisation, playing in the moment, and addressing the audience.
2024 Band Camp Dates:
Winter - February 19th - 23rd
Spring - April 15th - 19th
Summer - TBD
Rehearsals take place at Blackstone Valley Music from 10 AM – 2 PM
Monday through Friday with a concert Friday evening.
Lunch not included, please plan accordingly
COST:
$400 per student
Limited availability, please state what instrument your student will be playing when enrolling. Multiple camps may be available per season.

Summer Ensemble
Back for its second year, Blackstone Valley Music is proud to host a summer ensemble designed to keep school band students engaged with music and their instruments over the summer break. The group will meet on select Tuesdays and Thursdays in July from 10AM - 12PM, culminating into a concert Friday at the end of the month. The ensemble will be led once again by our clarinet teacher, Raianne Richards, as well as our band camp director and lesson administrator, James Briand. At least one year of band experience is required to enroll in this program.
