Music Lessons

Blackstone Valley Music is currently teaching the following:

All lessons are 1/2 hour long, private instruction, tailored to the needs of the individual student.

Lesson Policy

Payment*

We have 3 convenient plans to suit your needs.

  1. Weekly: $27.00 per lesson / First and last week's payment due on first week


  2. Monthly: $22.00 per lesson / Payment due on the last week of the month
    (depending on the amount of scheduled days in the month $88.00-$110.00)


  3. Quarterly: $20.00 per lesson / Payment due on the last week of the quarter.
    (12 lessons for $240.00)
*Upon signing up for lessons, there is a $10.00 non-refundable registration fee.


Cancellation

If you are unable to attend your scheduled lesson, 6 hours advance notice is necessary to reschedule. Reasonable effort will be made to reschedule your lesson time or day, depending on availability of your teacher. However, this is a courtesy and if a compatible time can not be scheduled before the next scheduled lesson, you will be charged for the missed lesson.

Personal Days / Holidays

2 vacation days are allotted per year. You will not be charged for vacation days as long as proper notification has been given (at least one week in advance).

If a lesson is cancelled by a teacher, the facility has closed due to weather or holidays, you will not be charged for the lesson.

Blackstone Valley Music holidays are:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve Day.


Discontinuing Lessons

One week advance notice is required for early termination of lessons. Penalties for early termination of lesson contract are as follows:

  1. Weekly: No penalty if proper notification is given (at least one week in advance).


  2. Monthly: Lessons used will be charged the weekly rate of $27.00 per lesson, and the remainder will be reimbursed.


  3. Quarterly: If less than 5 lessons have been used, lessons used will be charged the weekly rate of $27.00 plus a $10.00 early termination fee*. If 5 or more lessons were used you will be charged the monthly rate of $22.00 per lesson. In each case, the remainder will be reimbursed.
*Early termination fee is a single additional payment of $10.00, and not a per week penalty
